About the Role
As a Junior Accountant, you’ll handle the daily financial operations that keep the business running smoothly. From reconciling accounts to preparing financial reports, you’ll be responsible for managing a high volume of transactions and supporting the senior finance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn, grow, and be part of a company that rewards hard work and accuracy.
- Process and record large volumes of financial transactions quickly and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices, and customer accounts
- Help prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger with accurate updates
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes
- Capture journal entries and ensure accurate allocations
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closures
- Prepare VAT and tax submissions and support statutory compliance
- Work closely with senior finance staff on reports and projects
- Ensure financial data is accurate and audit-ready
- Suggest and support improvements in accounting processes
- Respond promptly to finance-related queries internally and externally

Skills & Requirements
- Completed Finance Diploma or Degree
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 5 years in a junior finance or accounting position
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles
- Solid experience using Sage and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
