About the Learnership
This is a structured training programme combining practical on-site work and technical classes. The goal is to qualify as a certified electrician in the mining industry.
Available Position:
- Electrical Engineering Learnership (Electrician)
Eligible Communities:
Applicants must live in one of the following host communities:
- Bekkersdaal
- Zuurberkom
- Thusanang
- Hillshaven
- Westonaria
- Poortjie
- Simunye
- Kalbasfontein
- Jachtfontein
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Maths and Science
- N3 Certificate with 4 subjects:
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Electrical Trade Theory
- Industrial Electronics
- Be declared medically fit and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend technical and practical training as per MQA requirements
- Participate in safety and skill-building short courses
- Follow all mine safety and operational rules
- Work as a team member and support other learners
- Wear required PPE at all times during training and on-site
