Skills & Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet these essential criteria:
- Diploma in Environmental Health (NQF Level 6) or equivalent
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Valid South African driving license
- A SAPS clearance certificate (not older than 6 months)
- Must be registered—or eligible to register—as a Peace Officer within 12 months
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, including 1 year of community service
Preferred candidates will have:
- A Degree in Environmental Health (NQF Level 7)
- 3 years of experience, including community health work
Other required competencies include strong communication, project management, waste management, and health surveillance skills, along with knowledge of food handling regulations and law environmental compliance.
