Apprentice Instrumentation Opportunity at SAB Rosslyn Brewery
About the Role
Are you ready to kickstart your career in industrial instrumentation? SAB is offering a unique opportunity to join their Rosslyn Brewery as an Apprentice in Instrumentation. This structured 3–4-year program will train you to become a certified tradesperson, providing hands-on experience in a world-class brewing environment.
What You’ll Do
As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to:
- Use tools like vibration meters, tensile testers, and dew point meters
- Locate plant equipment and interpret documentation
- Plan and budget for instrumentation jobs
- Evaluate and repair technical breakdowns
- Continuously improve plant systems and processes
- Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- National Technical Certificate (N4) in Instrumentation
- N5/N6 qualification in Engineering (advantageous)
- Engineering aptitude and good conceptual skills
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Action-oriented, self-driven and motivated
- Team player with strong analytical skills
- Physically fit, good vision, not colour blind
- Willing to travel to Johannesburg for training periods
- Open to flexible hours, shift work, and overtime
