About the Role
The company is seeking a dedicated Legal & Compliance Executive to join their legal team. This permanent role combines legal advisory functions with key compliance duties. Skills & Requirements
- Completed LLB – prerequisite
- Minimum 3–4 years post-admission experience as an Attorney or Legal Advisor
- Experience in compliance, including FAIS and RCMP updates
- Background in the insurance or forex space is a strong advantage
- Experience with Commercial, Finance, and Banking law is desirable
- Exposure to securities, litigation, and commercial contracts is beneficial
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing and maintaining internal compliance standards
- Conducting legal training for internal teams
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, mainly loan agreements and related securities
- Managing litigation and debtor recovery (rare)
- Involvement in company mergers and acquisitions
- Handling general legal compliance and company secretarial duties
- Direct reporting to shareholders and business unit leaders
