About the Role
As a SHEQ Officer, you will play a crucial part in implementing and maintaining SHEQ systems, procedures, and programs. You’ll work closely with site teams, contractors, and management to ensure full compliance with safety legislation and internal company standards. You will also facilitate training, lead incident investigations, and help build a safety-driven culture in the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and promote safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 and a Safety Management Diploma or NQF equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in explosives and underground mining.
- In-depth knowledge of the OHS Act, Explosives Act, and other SHE legislation.
- Strong understanding of ISO systems: ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001.
- Experience in risk analysis, root cause investigation, and report writing.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass police clearance.
- Medical fitness to obtain an underground red ticket.
