Job Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Cosmetic Cashier at their Hartebeespoort store. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service at the point of sale and supporting merchandising of beauty and cosmetic products.
Responsibilities
- Handle transactions at the cosmetic till point efficiently.
- Assist with merchandising when tills are not busy.
- Serve customers and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ensure all payments are processed accurately (cash, card, vouchers).
- Answer customer queries related to beauty products.
- Assist in maintaining clean, well-stocked displays.
- Follow security and cash-handling protocols strictly.
- Handle returns and exchanges following store policy.
- Refer cosmetic sales questions to the Cosmetic Consultant.
- Promote loyalty cards and benefits to customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- At least 6 months’ cashier or till operations experience.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Basic customer service skills.
- Numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willing to work retail hours.

- Ability to handle payments and refunds accurately.
- Strong English communication (verbal and written).
