About the Role
This HR Officer position is centered around supporting the AFGRI Grain Management Services Division. Your daily responsibilities will cover a wide range of HR and payroll duties including recruitment, training and development, and employee relations. You’ll also be the go-to person for HRIS management (especially on SAP), managing contracts of employment, processing data for both new hires and terminations, and ensuring full HR compliance across the branches.

Whether you’ve worked in the private sector, agriculture, or a similar industry, what matters most is your ability to manage detail, handle employee movement processes, and assist with critical issues like disciplinary actions or employee relations. If you enjoy providing consultative HR support while juggling paperwork, systems, and people, you’ll be a great fit.
Skills & Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR administration. While a National Diploma or Degree in HR Management or Business Admin is a plus, it’s your experience and practical know-how that will count most.
- Grade 12 is required
- 3+ years HR administration experience
- Strong knowledge of HRIS (preferably SAP HR)
- Understanding of HR compliance and audit readiness
- Experience with payroll input and employee data updates
- Comfortable drafting charge sheets and handling performance issues
