About the Role

The Storekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of stock, including ordering, receiving, and issuing goods. The successful candidate will supervise the storeroom, fridge, and freezer areas while ensuring compliance with safety standards and food quality checks. Working closely with suppliers and staff, you’ll help maintain a smooth and efficient flow of inventory throughout the operation.

Who Should Apply

Skills & Requirements

• Matric certificate
• 2 years of logistics experience
• Experience in hospitality preferred but not essential
• Computer literacy
• Strong numerical ability
• Planning and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Delegation and supervisory skills (advantageous)
• Familiarity with Work Smart software is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Place and follow up on orders with suppliers
• Check invoices against order sheets
• Issue groceries and stock to departments
• Weigh food items issued for production
• Maintain stock levels according to budget
• Assist with weekly and monthly stock takes
• Maintain clean and secure storage areas
• Ensure accurate labeling and quality control
• Perform weekend duties when required
• Collaborate with project and catering managers
