About the Role
As the Quality Coordinator, your main responsibility is to implement and uphold the quality system at the Geochem Rustenburg facility. This includes ensuring full compliance with ISO17025 standards, SGS South Africa’s high-level procedures, and SGS global quality requirements.
You’ll act as a key link between management, staff, and clients to make sure operations run smoothly and ethically while continuously improving processes and systems in the lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate with the highest ethical standards under SGS integrity programs
- Maintain and update testing scope and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with ISO accreditation requirements
- Facilitate lab method validation and quality monitoring
- Manage and coordinate quality improvement systems
- Work closely with lab technicians, suppliers, and clients
- Handle customer complaints, audit findings, and improvement actions
- Provide quality-related training to staff
- Plan and conduct quality assessments and management reviews
- Develop and manage the lab’s document control system
- Ensure all monthly QSHE reports are accurate and timely
- Apply statistical analysis to evaluate lab data
- Offer guidance to staff on quality control and documentation
- Maintain feedback flow to management regarding lab quality status
- Promote safety-conscious behavior in daily activities

- Experience in report and document writing
- Understanding of statistical quality control is a plus
