About the Role
As an Assistant Technician, you will work closely with senior installation technicians to assist with the installation of alarm systems, CCTV, intercoms, and access control systems. You’ll help with cabling, drilling, mounting detectors and control panels, and testing systems once powered up.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of experience as a wireman
- Practical knowledge of electrical/electronic systems is an advantage
- PSIRA Grade C registration is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and show attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technician with alarm and security system installations
- Remove old security equipment from client premises
- Run new cabling, apply adhesives, drill, and mount hardware
- Connect detectors and alarm control panels
- Power-up and walk-test systems independently
- Identify and report equipment or tool limitations
- Assist with system handovers and user function demonstrations
- Clean vehicles and job sites post-installation
