About the Role
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance department, supporting the Financial Manager and working on everything from monthly management accounts to IFRS compliance. This permanent position at 58Fleet offers a wide range of responsibilities, from maintaining the General Ledger to managing intercompany loans and VAT reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain General Ledger accounts, process journals, and reconciliations
- Oversee invoicing processes, including bulk billing and individual invoices
- Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end close
- Assist with Annual Financial Statements and ensure IFRS compliance
- Contribute to BEE tracking, budgets, forecasts, and process improvements
- Reconcile intercompany loans and review confirmations
- Handle VAT reconciliations and ensure revenue accuracy
- Support audit processes and assist with tax pack preparation
- Manage Fixed Asset register and depreciation checks
- Ensure completeness of revenue and review cashflow forecasts

Skills & Requirements
- B.Com in Accounting or equivalent (Postgrad or CA(SA) preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IFRS, tax, and accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software such as Hyperion, Sage One, or QuickBooks
- Fleet software experience is a bonus
- Must be credit and criminal clear
- Own transport and willingness to work overtime if needed
