This structured 24-month programme is accredited by the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA), offering a valuable foundation for graduates pursuing a career in auditing and risk management.
Programme Purpose
This graduate opportunity is aimed at building critical auditing skills and business acumen by placing successful candidates in various Transnet Operating Divisions. The programme offers hands-on experience, formal learning interventions, mentorship, and exposure to a diverse working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow Internal Audit professionals and attend business meetings and workshops
- Conduct audit testing, document systems, test internal controls, and compile working papers
- Assist in investigations and audit reporting under the supervision of audit specialists
- Track and support the timely submission of Transnet Internal Audit (TIA) reports
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand business requirements and communicate audit progress
- Represent the Internal Audit function in governance and control improvement discussions
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or BCom Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- South African citizenship
- Between 18–35 years of age
