About the Role
This apprenticeship is a fixed-term contract, running up to three years. The Apprentice Level 1 will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning the essentials of commercial vehicle repair. From changing oil to fitting batteries, this role provides a solid foundation for anyone aiming to grow into a qualified diesel mechanic.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with vehicle repairs under the direction of a technician
- Remove and replace vehicle parts and units
- Jack up vehicles and place them on trestles
- Change oils and lubricate as per manual specs (with supervision)
- Remove and replace wheels
- Fit air and oil filters
- Help with battery installation and removal
- General cleaning and housekeeping of parts and tools
- Attend technical training and level courses
- Follow workshop safety rules at all times

Minimum Requirements
