About the Role
Arnot OpCo is currently offering a 36-month fixed-term contract for candidates interested in a career in mining. This programme is designed to develop skills and provide practical workplace exposure in key technical fields. It specifically targets unemployed graduates with no prior relevant experience. Successful applicants will work in one of the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering – GCC
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency – MMC
- Mine Survey – GCC
Who Should Apply
This candidacy programme is best suited for ambitious, hard-working individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen currently unemployed
- Holding a Degree, Advanced Diploma, N6 Diploma or BTech
- No criminal record
- Strong academic record
Skills & Requirements
To qualify, applicants must submit the following documents:
- Certified copy of a valid South African ID
- Certified copies of relevant qualifications (e.g., electrical engineering degree)
- Brief and updated CV
- A letter from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) confirming candidacy acceptance
- Proof of residence from a tribal office or local municipality (only for applicants from host communities)
Note: Only candidates who have not previously participated in a similar programme are eligible. Applicants who are shortlisted will be required to pass a full medical examination and background check.
