Job Overview
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for transferring stock within the warehouse and to various outlets across the complex. The primary goal is to ensure stock levels meet operational requirements, adhering to company standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Get picking lists from the stock controller and issue goods according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Pack stock on arrival and assist with stock rotation to ensure older goods are picked first.
- Move and transfer stock between the warehouse and outlets.
- Store stock in a manner that adheres to safety standards.
- Maintain clean storage areas and equipment.
- Assist with stock takes on a monthly basis and participate in recounts as necessary.
- Report obsolete or damaged stock to supervisors.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, able to stand for long periods, and comfortable lifting heavy stock. If you have a strong work ethic and are passionate about maintaining efficient stock management, we want you on our team. A minimum of Grade 10 education is required for this role.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of product and stock control procedures.
- Familiarity with SHE legislative requirements (Safety, Health, and Environment).
- Good numerical and English communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
