About the SHE Operations Specialist Role
As a SHE Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving safety, health, and environmental protocols across operations. Your work will ensure compliance with South African regulations and international standards in high-risk environments such as transport and engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Develop emergency response plans and lead drills and readiness exercises
Conduct inspections and audits for SHE compliance in logistics and supply chains

Lead risk management activities including HIRA and HAZOP
Review procurement and tender documentation for SHE alignment
Audit high-risk suppliers, especially in transport and engineering
Ensure vehicle compliance with CIE (explosives) regulations
Analyze safety data and coach teams based on behavioral trends
Required Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields
5–7 years of relevant experience in SHE operations or logistics
Certification in SHE Management (NEBOSH, IOSH or similar)
Additional certification in HIRA, HAZOP, or supply chain management is an advantage
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 implementation and audits
Skills You’ll Need

Proven ability to implement SHE strategies across operations
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SHE data management systems
