What This Role Involves
The IT Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of IT systems and infrastructure. This includes installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, managing networks, and ensuring systems run smoothly across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure hardware, software, and IT systems
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, access control, and handheld devices
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor ICT systems and ensure timely reporting
- Provide 1st level network support
- Set up and manage new user accounts
- Handle Help Desk calls and resolve logged issues
- Assist with cybersecurity measures like antivirus management and access control
- Ensure all IT activities align with company policies and compliance standards

Skills and Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support and data management
- Grade 12 certificate
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- ICT-related diploma or degree (advantageous)
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
- CCNA or Fortinet NSE4–7 (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in using Help Desk software
