Introduction
The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in partnership with the ETDP SETA, invites unemployed IT graduates to apply for a 24-month internship programme. This initiative provides essential workplace experience and supports digital transformation efforts in higher education.
Job Responsibilities
- Offer IT support and troubleshooting to staff and students
- Assist with network and system administration tasks
- Support digital transformation and tech upgrades
- Help maintain IT inventory and manage hardware/software installations
- Carry out additional IT-related duties as assigned by supervisors
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6)
- Unemployed graduate between 18 and 35 years old
- Available for the full 24-month internship
- No prior full-time work experience related to IT
Key Skills and Competencies
- Basic understanding of computer systems, software, and networks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
