What You Will Be Doing
As a Wheat Miller Apprentice, you will be part of a structured 3-year training programme that combines practical on-site experience with self-study. You’ll learn how to operate milling equipment and understand the full milling supply chain.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Complete theoretical learning through SAGMA (South African Grain Milling Academy)
- Apply your learning in real-world milling operations
- Rotate through departments to gain full knowledge of the milling process
- Work with mechanical systems and follow standard operating procedures
- Learn to operate a mill under supervision to produce food-grade products
- Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as part of training
Who Should Apply?
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) completed in the last 24 months
- Minimum 60% in Mathematics OR 80% in Maths Literacy
- Must qualify for University Exemption
