Job Overview

This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Level 1 Technical Assistant at Nexio’s Network Management Centre in Bellville. You’ll receive full training and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in telecommunications, event & fault management, and incident handling in a 24/7 operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network alarms and log incidents promptly.
• Ensure incidents are escalated to the appropriate teams without delay.
• Assist in coordinating field services and update fault tracking systems.
• Manage and close incidents according to fault management procedures.
• Understand and contribute to key performance indicators.
• Respond to voice calls and emails within allocated service times.

Educational and Work Experience Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (Essential)
• Computer Literacy (Essential)
• Basic knowledge of IT or Telecommunications (Advantageous)
• Experience in call center or service desk environments (Advantageous)
• IT or Telecommunications certification (Advantageous)

Special Requirements
