Are you passionate about engineering and looking for a career in a global company? Unilever is hiring a Millwright Apprentice at their Lords View Factory in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a full-time apprenticeship designed to give you hands-on training and experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
Job Description – What You’ll Do
As a Millwright Apprentice, you’ll support the factory’s engineering and operations teams through preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. You’ll receive mentorship and training from experienced technicians to help you develop your technical skills.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Attend all practical and classroom training sessions full time
- Work hands-on in both mechanical and electrical environments
- Participate in maintaining and fixing equipment on the production floor
- Help solve technical problems
- Complete tasks assigned by mentors and team leads
- Close out maintenance jobs as needed
Minimum Requirements to Apply
To qualify for this apprenticeship, you must have:
- A mechanical or electrical engineering N3 or engineering diploma
- Be fluent in English
- Be a team player
- Be willing to work at heights and in loud, dusty environments
- Be available to work shifts and overtime when needed
