Anglo American Platinum is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in the mining industry. The Mining Cadet Learner Program at the Mogalakwena Complex invites applications from individuals passionate about working on drill rigs and dump trucks. Host community applicants will be given preference.

Mining Cadet Program Details
Duration: 4-month program
Location: Mogalakwena Complex, Mokopane
Job Type: Internship (Cadet)
Training Provided: On-the-job/core training
Stipend: Monthly stipend/allowance provided during the cadetship
Qualifications & Requirements
To be eligible for the Mining Cadet Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- English and mathematics literacy or mathematics in grade 12.
- Minimum 40% pass mark in the above subjects.
- Must be medically fit.
- Willingness to work in a surface mining environment (open cast and dusty areas).
- Ability to work in accordance with the work schedule, possibly involving shifts.
- South African Citizenship is required.
- Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment.
- Must pass the K53 Simulator Assessment.
- Driver’s License is advantageous (not mandatory).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proof of residence and certified copies of your qualifications will be required.
Note: Only applicants from host communities will be considered. Applications that do not include certified copies of qualifications and proof of residence will not be reviewed.
