Repairs and Maintenance:
- Assist with repairing and maintaining machinery such as silos, batching plants, milling equipment, extruders, dryers, and more.
- Perform regular checks on components like motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, V-belts, and hydraulic arms.
- Inspect and report any potential issues, such as oil leaks, gas leaks, or water leaks, and assist with timely repairs.
- Ensure proper maintenance activities are carried out according to the maintenance schedule.
Workshop Fabrication and Installations:
- Help with fabrication tasks, including building check weighers, conveyor frames, packing machines, and bins.
- Assist in installing water pipes and other machinery or equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the work area organized, ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely.
Job Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you’ll need:
- A National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalent qualification.
- 2 years of proven work experience in an engineering or mechanical environment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and understanding of maintenance processes.
- strong awareness of safety protocols and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and management.
