Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is excited to offer a unique opportunity for young, talented, and unemployed individuals to join the company through a Warehouse Learnership program. This learnership will equip you with foundational skills in logistics and warehouse operations, preparing you for a successful career in the logistics and freight handling industry.
About the Learnership:
As an Unemployed Learner Warehouse, you will gain both practical and theoretical training in Freight Handling. Upon completion, learners will receive a National Certificate in Freight Handling (NQF 3).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
As a learner, you will be exposed to the following areas:
- Freight Handling: Learn the basics of freight management, receiving, and stock maintenance.
- Customer Service: Understand how to enhance customer service by maintaining service quality and expectations.
- Stock Management: Learn how to manage stock, including receiving, packing, picking, and movement within the warehouse.
- Warehouse Safety: Gain knowledge of legal requirements, safety protocols, and procedures for handling goods.
- Administrative Skills: Handle administrative tasks such as stock receipt, delivery, and recording stock movements.
- Teamwork and Communication: Improve communication skills within a distribution environment and learn to work effectively within teams.
- Legislation and Safety: Understand occupational health and safety legislation and apply safety procedures in the workplace.
- Financial Impact: Learn how stock movement affects the business financially and contribute to reducing damages.
Key Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in handling stock and administrative tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and maintain effective relationships.
- Self-Motivated: Show initiative and drive in completing tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible for this learnership:
- Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (minimum 40%).
- Two South African languages passed with at least 40%.
- Other Qualifications/Experience:
- no prior completion of the same qualification or learnership at another organization.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Operations Management is advantageous.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must be unemployed at the time of application.
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate.
