Job Overview
As a Call Centre Agent, you will be responsible for managing face-to-face, telephonic, and email interactions with customers. You will handle customer queries, process requests, resolve complaints, and provide information related to the City of Tshwane’s services. You will play a vital role in ensuring that customers receive prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for this position:
Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in customer care and call centre operations.
- Familiarity with call centre technologies and systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of City of Tshwane’s operations, billing processes, and Batho Pele principles (the customer service principles of “Putting People First”).
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with SAP CIC and CRM is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Must undergo a criminal record check and have fingerprints taken by TMPD at your own cost.
- Willingness to work at any regional customer care centre, depending on operational needs.

- Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
You will be in charge of the following as a call center agent:
- Handling customer queries through phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Managing customer complaints and ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently.
- Locating and processing customer information to ensure timely service delivery.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with both customers and colleagues.
- Capturing and recording customer requests for further processing.
- Meeting performance standards and contributing to the continuous improvement of customer service processes.
