Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Artisan Assistant is to assist skilled artisans with daily workshop tasks related to vehicle and machinery repair and maintenance. You will play an important role in keeping the workshop operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist artisans with daily repair and maintenance tasks for vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
  • Help attend to breakdowns as and when they occur.
  • Conduct routine workshop housekeeping.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Follow safety protocols as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993.

Application Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to perform tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or a similar workshop environment is an advantage.
  • Good physical fitness and health.
  • Must pass a criminal record check, and fingerprints will be taken by TMPD at your own cost.
  • Availability for standby duties, overtime, and shift work if required.
  • Willingness to work in different shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
