About the Job:
RCL Foods is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity for Fitter & Turner in their Baking Division based in Krugersdorp. As an apprentice, you will receive institutionalized training and gain hands-on experience, preparing you for a successful career in the engineering field. The program will provide a comprehensive learning experience with exposure to various factory operations, plant maintenance, and technical work.
The apprenticeship is a full training program that includes approximately 20 weeks at the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) and 29 weeks of hands-on training in the factory during operations. The successful completion of the apprenticeship will culminate in a nationally recognized qualification following a final trade test.
Key Responsibilities:

Plant Maintenance: Conduct regular equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns and quality issues.

Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify faults and repair machinery, such as motors, belts, and bearings, to ensure smooth operations.

Work Orders: Follow the maintenance execution process and ensure work orders are complete and accurate.

Equipment Upkeep: Clean and lubricate machinery parts, including shafts, gears, and bearings.

Shift Work: Be prepared for shift work, standby duties, overtime, and callouts.
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with at least N2 qualification or NCV Level 3. N3, N4, N5, or N6 qualifications are an advantage.
