SBV Services is offering an exciting YES Learnership opportunity for a Cash Processor position based in Midrand. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the cash processing industry. The role involves ensuring efficient and accurate cash processing while adhering to strict policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities of the Cash Processor:

As a Cash Processor, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Receiving Cash: Handle incoming deposits, ensuring they are recorded accurately on applicable systems. Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks to both the company and customers. Inspect cash containers for damages and report any issues.

  • Cash Preparation & Sorting: Organize and prepare cash for sorting, adhering to strict timelines and deadlines. Sort notes based on the specified criteria and ensure all deposits are balanced correctly.

  • Note Sorting: Sort all deposits for specific clients (FDP/ACDP) within the same day. Any rejected notes are sent to the Reject Teller for verification, and discrepancies are reported to the Team Controller.

  • Reconciliation: Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation and balance all received cash deposits. Manage any shortages or surpluses in compliance with company policies.

  • Coin Processing: Handle bulk coin deposits, sort and process teller coin transfers, and ensure accurate counting and reconciliation of coins.

  • System Integrated Deposit Processing: Ensure that all transactions linked to bank systems are processed accurately within agreed SLAs. Report system errors or delayed batches to the team for timely resolution.

  • Payroll & Change Processing: Accurately process payroll and change transactions as per client requirements, ensuring compliance with SLAs.

  • Manage Equipment: Properly maintain and care for cash processing equipment, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Governance & Compliance: Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards and support SBV's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

  • Communication & Change Management: Promote effective communication of new procedures and changes within the team and department, ensuring smooth transitions during periods of change.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Work Experience: At least 6 months of cashier/teller experience is advantageous but not required.

  • Educational Requirements: You must have Grade 12 with Maths Literacy.

  • Training Requirements: The successful candidate will need to have completed SBV Cash Processor training.
