Engineering Learnership Program Details
The learnership program offers entry-level candidates the chance to work in the following areas:
- Electrician Learnership (x2 positions)
- Millwright Learnership (x4 positions)
- Measurement Control & Instrumentation Mechanician Learnership (x1 position)
- Auto Electrician Learnership (x1 position)
This three-year program is designed to equip you with the skills to qualify as an artisan in your chosen field. The program combines institutional training and on-the-job training at Mogalakwena Mine.
Learnership Training Structure:
- 1st Year: Classroom-based training at the Engineering Skills Training Centre (ESTC).
- 2nd Year: On-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine.
- 3rd Year: Complete trade test to become a qualified artisan.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the learnership program, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), or
- N2 with subjects relevant to the specific trade, or
- NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass.
Additional Requirements:
- South African citizenship.
- Must be able to pass a psychometric assessment.
- A medical certificate of fitness or the ability to obtain one.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A valid South African Driver’s License (advantageous).
