Nestlé, a global leader in food and beverages for over 150 years, is looking for a Boiler Assistant to join our team in Mossel Bay. As a Boiler Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of boilers, air compressors, and ammonia plants. This will help provide essential services like steam, compressed air, and chilled water for our factory’s manufacturing and filling operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Handovers: Attend and participate in shift handover meetings to ensure smooth transitions.
- Boiler Monitoring: Regularly check the boiler water level and monitor for ash blockages.
- Water Treatment: Perform water treatment analysis to ensure high-quality operation.
- Cleaning Tasks: Clean air filters, HFO filters, combustion systems on boilers, and air heaters.
- Coal Level Monitoring: Monitor the coal level and clean the silo room as needed.
- General Maintenance: Clean and maintain the boiler house, compressor room, HFO room, ammonia plant, and fire pump house.
- Daily Reporting: Record and track daily water usage and perform regular cleaning tasks around the facility.
What Will Make You Successful:
- Matric with Maths: A high school qualification with a focus on Mathematics.
- Technical Experience: At least 2 years of technical experience in boiler operations or utility services.
- Trade Test Certificate: A recognized trade test certificate in a relevant field is essential.
