Rand Water is looking for a reliable Artisan Assistant - Electrical to support the maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical equipment. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations across 14 districts within the Bulk Water Distribution service area. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with the regular maintenance and repair of electrical plant and equipment.
- Routine Inspections: Help with the inspection of equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Electrical Installations: Support with electrical installations in various settings.
- Minor Electrical Repairs: Conduct minor repairs to electrical systems and devices.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- N1 Electrical qualification.
- Driver's License (Code B).
- 1 year of experience in a similar role, or alternatively, ABET Level 4 + 5 years experience in an electrical environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety protocols.
- Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with using electrical hand tools and equipment.
- Basic Wiring: Ability to perform basic wiring tasks.
- Electrical Testing: Knowledge of basic electrical testing equipment.
