Job Goal Or Job Objective:

The main purpose of this role is to give learners the chance to sign up for a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF 3). They will be on a one-year fixed-term contract, combining both on-the-job and off-the-job training to achieve a national qualification.

Main Tasks and Duties:

  • The learnership is a planned program that combines both practical on-the-job training and off-the-job learning.
  • The off-the-job part focuses more on the theory, while the work-based part covers practical skills.
  • The learning gives you the chance to apply theory and gain more practical experience.

Other features of a learnership include:

  • A Learnership results in a national qualification listed on the NQF (National Qualifications Framework).
  • The qualification is based on unit standards registered by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority).
  • The unit standards are designed to cover valuable skills needed in the workplace and include the outcomes and assessment criteria.
  • Competence is shown in the workplace through different assessment methods, using the assessment criteria as the performance standard.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must have Matric, including Mathematics and English.
  • Having technical courses (N3, N4, N5, or N6) will be an advantage.
  • Independent or motivated on your own.
  • Careful with details or strong focus on accuracy.
  • Strong team player or good at working with others.
  • Works well with others to achieve goals or effective in a team environment.
