Job Description:

Proudly South African is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a receptionist and HR support. The successful candidate will provide exceptional reception services and support to our Human Resources department in a variety of administrative tasks, offered as a 3-year fixed-term contract.

Main duties and tasks:

  • A Grade 12 qualification is required for applicants.
  • A certificate or diploma in administration/secretarial studies is required.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in handling reception, administrative duties, and travel bookings.
  • Skilled in using MS Office.
  • Human Resources qualifications and experience are an advantage or Having a background in Human Resources would be an asset.
  • Prepared to work outside of regular hours when necessary or willing to work occasionally beyond normal working hours.
  • A driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle would be considered an advantage.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Front desk and switchboard responsibilities, or reception and telephone handling tasks.
  • Ensure the reception space is clean and orderly.
  • Organizing travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Organize boardroom booking and availability.
  • Welcome guests and provide directions.
  • Help with courier services and delivery management.
  • Supports the HR Department with administrative duties.
  • Gather quotes and create purchase requisitions for HR.
  • Take notes and record minutes during HR Department meetings.
  • Plan and oversee staff events and activities.
  • Additional duties as assigned or varied tasks and responsibilities as required.
