Basic Requirements/Experience:
- Completed Grade 12
- In the process of becoming a qualified artisan
- 2 years’ experience in the production industry or 2 years working in manufacturing
- Have personal transportation and a driver’s license
- Own personal tools or Have my own set of tools
- Open to working different shifts
- Practical and active worker or Enjoys working with my hands
- Capable of understanding air, fluid, and mechanical systems or Able to work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Familiar with safety practices and basic fitting and boilermaker work
Main tasks and duties (but not restricted to):
- Willing to work shifts and understand the operations of a 24/7 plant
- Assist the qualified person with corrective and planned maintenance tasks
- Knowledgeable about safety basics and good at following safe work practices
- Know the basics of environmental safety and support a healthy workplace.
- Understand environmental basics and encourage a safe work environment.
- Work well with supervisors, colleagues, and the production team.
- Collaborate effectively with managers, coworkers, and the production team.
- Know how to read electrical diagrams and work with electrical equipment.
- Capable of diagnosing issues in mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Can work on my own or Able to complete tasks without supervision
- Able to work with a basic 6 bar compressed air system.
- Write reports for shifts and standby duties when needed.
- Monitor personal timesheets, KPIs, and machine status during the shift.
- Takes on additional tasks as asked by the manager.
- Follow the company’s health and safety guidelines.
- Know and follow the company’s health and safety rules, or understand and obey the group’s safety and health guidelines.
- Makes sure laboratory equipment is safe to use.
- Take part in all health and safety initiatives.
