ArcelorMittal South Africa is providing training for individuals with a Grade 12 certificate, particularly those with good marks in mathematics or math literacy and English, to become process operators in steel manufacturing.

This training program is designed with a clear, results-driven structure that includes both theoretical and practical training. The learnership program will include regular evaluations and progress monitoring. There are openings within our Vanderbijlpark Operations.

The program requires a signed training contract. This learnership includes expenses for training, PPE, institutional training costs, on-site insurance, and a monthly stipend. There is no promise of a job after you finish the training.

Responsibilities and job functions:

• Engage fully in the learnership and complete it as needed
• Promote a safe and secure work environment
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and laws

Required qualifications:

• At least a Grade 12 certificate with English, Mathematics, or Math Literacy.
• Having Physical Science would be beneficial.
• Able to work well in a team and independently, or capable of both team collaboration and independent work.
• Proactively motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
• capable of quick thinking and efficient problem solving.
• Strong focus on accuracy and a natural ability for engineering.
