Job Details:
RCL Foods is seeking an Artisan Electrical to work in our Milling Division's pipeline role. This position is based in Pretoria West and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The role involves maintaining all electrical equipment at the PTA Mill for RCL Foods.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A Trade Test certificate with at least an N3 is required; N4 and higher are preferred.
- You must provide evidence of finishing a formal training program.
- Experience in flour milling or milling work for 5 years or more is an advantage.
- Experience with automated wrappers and palletizers in packing will be an advantage.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working with medium voltage (MV) switching and protection systems up to 33KV.
- A minimum of a Wireman’s License is required.
- Holding a Master Installation Electrician certification is beneficial.
Tasks and Duties:

Position Details:
RCL Foods is in search of an energetic individual with strong attention to detail for their Food Safety team.
Role Purpose:
- Monitor and maintain all food safety systems effectively.
- Ensure the efficient management of all relevant quality management systems.
- Ensure timely submission of production samples for external lab analysis, compare results with specifications, and take action when results fall outside specifications.
- Identify and report non-conforming products to the QA Technologist for further investigation.
- Step in as a QA Technologist when required.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Food Science or Consumer Science, or B.Tech. in Food Technology. National Diploma in Food Technology or Biotechnology.
- Experience in applying ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 food safety management systems.
- Between 1 and 2 years of FMCG experience.
- Good interpersonal abilities – skilled in working and communicating across all business levels. Excellent team player with the capacity to work independently. Proven leadership capabilities. Familiar with QMS and HACCP programs.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills.

Main Duties:
- Organize and maintain a customer database that specifies the external analysis requirements and keep it updated.
- Identify and submit required samples for analysis to prevent delays in shipments.
- Ensure that swabbing is performed regularly as part of the safety checks.
- Detect non-conforming products and collaborate with the QA team for corrective actions and root cause analysis.
- Identify areas for improvement based on non-conformance trends.
- Record all test results and findings accurately.
- Comply with Halal, Kosher, customer, and government regulations during audits and inspections.
- Answer any queries related to quality control matters.
- Provide ongoing food safety training for plant staff.
