A busy and growing car repair shop is looking for a Mechanical Apprentice to join their team. This is a great chance for someone who is good with tools and loves fixing cars to learn and work with a skilled team.
Main Duties:
- Check cars for issues and find any problems based on what customers say.
- Give practical fixes for the problems found.
- Carry out regular maintenance and make repairs.
- Do vehicle checks as needed.
- Share all problems and findings, both by talking and in writing.
- Take apart, install, and replace car parts as needed.
- Rebuild engines.
- Test vehicles and approve the work done before giving them back to customers.
- Make sure the right labor and parts are noted on the job cards.
- Make sure all tools are stored safely and securely at the end of the day.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Good mechanical skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have your own transport to and from work.
Necessary Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Can work well under pressure, especially when working with insurance companies.
- Good time management skills
