Job Opening: Skills Development Administrator
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Skills Development Administrator for our Head Office in Midrand. In this role, you will support SDF (Skills Development Facilitator) tasks and help coordinate important programs like learnerships, skills training, bursaries, and BBBEE initiatives. If you’re organized and passionate about skills development, we’d love to have you on our team.
Job Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
- Diploma: National Diploma in Training and Development, Human Resource Management Development, or a related field
- Experience: At least 2 years in learning and development or a similar role
Advantageous Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
- SDF Qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SETA regulations

Key Responsibilities:
Skills Development Data Management:
- Support the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) with Learning & Development reports and submit the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) on time.
- Assist with extracting and capturing data for SETA reports and the Learner Management Information System (LMIS).
- Ensure timely registration of all learners on the relevant SETA systems.
- Compile compliance training requirements for the Annual Learning Calendar.
- Help prepare documentation for BBBEE audits and maintain accurate records of learner attendance and completion rates.
- Monitor learner accreditation and certification status, and stay updated on BBBEE and Skills Development regulations.
Record Keeping:
- Ensure all learner and bursary agreements are completed and signed according to BBBEE and SETA standards.
- Support SDF with tax rebate claims and follow up with training providers.
- Ensure all relevant documents are stored properly for audits.
Administration:
- Track progress of learnerships and skills programs.
- Take minutes during Skills Development meetings.
- Assist with the learnership recruitment process and related administrative tasks.
- Log requests for learner terminations, leave, and changes to banking details.
- Collaborate with the L&D Admin team to ensure all documentation is available for reporting.
Competencies:
- Understanding of SETA regulations and skills development legislation.
- Proficient in English and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good interpersonal skills and aptitude for managing client enquiries.
Special Conditions:
- Needs to meet deadlines and perform well under duress.
- South African citizen with a clear criminal and credit record.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
