Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker, your daily tasks will include:
Maintaining Cleanliness: You will be responsible for keeping kitchens, cafeteria areas, and conference rooms clean and tidy. This ensures a pleasant and hygienic environment for both staff and visitors.
Providing Refreshments: Preparing tea and coffee for staff and visitors is a crucial part of your role. You’ll also ensure that refreshment areas are well-stocked with supplies, including milk, sugar, and other essentials.
Conducting Deep Cleaning: Regular deep cleaning of offices and meeting areas is essential to maintain a hygienic workplace.
Managing Supplies: You will keep track of consumables and place orders as necessary to ensure that our kitchen and refreshment areas are always equipped.
Reporting Issues: If you notice maintenance issues, such as problems with toilets or cleaning equipment, you will be responsible for reporting these to ensure swift resolution.
Running Errands: Occasionally, you may be asked to run external errands, which can involve picking up supplies or assisting with other logistical needs.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the General Worker position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A minimum of Grade 12 is required.
- Experience: At least one year of related experience and training.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and isiZulu.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
