Primary Responsibility:
Handle cash register accurately, count cash at the end of the shift, and take care of related admin tasks and cleaning duties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Make sure the right screen is used to process transactions on the WPRO system.
- Receive the scanned list of products from the customer.
- Enter customer account numbers into the system.
- Check the invoice against the scanned product list and report any differences to the scanner.
- Receive the correct amount of cash and verify its validity using the smart box system.
- Make sure to accurately process and give the correct change.
- Provide the invoice to the customer promptly.
- Follow cash office security measures and keep the work area tidy.
- Provide quick and efficient service to customers.
- File invoices, making sure they are signed, and report any issues to the admin or manager.
- Follow the correct cash-up procedures and identify any discrepancies.
- Complete the register for smart box tampering and log any faults, making sure to get a reference number when contacting the call center.
- Follow the proper procedures for cash handling and ensure safe case protocols are adhered to.
- Manage customer returns or empty containers.
Qualifications Needed:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required; a higher certificate is preferred.
Work Experience and Personal Qualities:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in banking or handling cash registers.
- Knowledge and experience with the SAP system, along with retail office experience.
- Willingness to work overtime, on public holidays, and Saturdays.
